Friendly's Diner Rules

Taken from a sign hanging out of sight in the kitchen:

Talk to every guest within five feet of you
Make eye contact, say hello, smile
Use friendly tone of voice, be friendly

Say:
“How is your ……meal? Is it made the way you like it?”
“What is one thing we could have done to make your visit better today?”
“Has our service been exceptional enough to bring you back?”

When you see someone approach the door, make eye contact, smile and provide a sincere “Greeting” or “Thank you” and “Goodbye”

AVOID asking “How’s everything?”
